Melissa Stange is an Adjunct Professor in Information Technology
Education:
- Associate in Applied Science with a Major in Data Processing, Chattahoochee Valley Community College
- Bachelor of Science with a Major in Computer Information Systems, Shenandoah University
- Master of Business Administration with a Major in Business Administration, Averett College
Background & Experience:
Ms. Stange has a broad range of Information Technology experience in Industry, Education, and volunteer organizations. She has held positions as Applications Developer, Senior Developer, Senior Programmer Analyst, and Internet Developer for several companies working with a variety of high level programming languages and data base management systems. She has written technical articles in Computer Science and Information Technology for several IT professional associations and is a regular reviewer for Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). She also volunteers her time and talent to Moose International to assist them in Computer Training.

Ms. Stange is presently teaching the following courses at LFCC:

- Advanced Computer Applications & Integration - (ITE 215)
- Introduction to Computer Concepts & Applications - (CSC 155)
Certifications & Professional Affiliations:
Ms. Stange is certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist. She also has earned the Certiport Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) and is an authorized Instructor for Digital Literacy. She is an active member and regular contributor to the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Personal Interests:
Ms. Stange enjoys traveling, horseback riding, scuba diving, sky diving, swimming, and spending time with her family.
