Library and Information Literacy Instruction
The Library encourages you to integrate information literacy assignments in your courses. Library staff can design information literacy instruction in a variety of ways:

  • Classroom instruction - instruction and demonstration of information resources
  • Custom webpages- we can design webpages tailored to your assignments that bring relevant resoures together in one place for your students, including animated tutorials that can be used in Blackboard
  • Help with library assignments - we can help you design successful library assignments that meet your information literacy goals for your students
  • Contact David Gray or Joyce Earhart in Middletown, or Linda Harper in Fauquier for more information

Reserves and E-Reserves
You can place materials on Reserve at either library for your students to access. It is up to you if the material can be taken outside of the library, and for how long students may keep it. You can place all types of material on reserves, including books, photocopies, VHS or DVD films, software on CD-ROM. We can also place electronic copies of print materials on E-Reserve in Blackboard. For more information contact Alice Seabright in Middletown or Rebecca Shieler in Fauquier, or David Gray for E-Reserves.

Request Materials for Purchase
