Memorial Scholarship ~ Middletown Elementary School ~| The Phi Rho chapter makes an annual contribution to the State Service Project, the Association for the Support of Children with
Cancer, and the National Service Project, the March of Dimes Project LIFT. The Chapter has received recognition at the State level for Project
ASK participation, and was recently selected to participate in a March of Dimes pilot project. This year, members plan to participate in a
Walk-a-thon to raise money for March of Dimes.

| Having earned status as lifetime member of the FBLA-PBL Foundation, the Phi Rho Chapter continues to make an annual
financial contribution in the hopes of reducing the financial burden of National competition not only for our own members but for
all Virginia competitors.

| The Phi Rho Chapter has "adopted" a stretch of Virginia Route 11, and arranges several times per school year
to spend a day picking up trash on this highway. Not only is this a valuable service activity, it is also an opportunity
for the members to get to know one another outside of school and have fun serving the community.

| The Phi Rho Chapter sponsors a Bloodmobile for the American Red Cross during the Spring semester. This event is highly
publicized around campus and in the community, and Chapter members assist the Red Cross in administering the Bloodmobile.

| The Phi Rho Chapter makes an annual donation to the Maurice J. Duffey Memorial Scholarship fund at Lord Fairfax, which is named in honor of a Professor Emeritus and former Phi Rho Chapter adviser. The Scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding business student. |
Middletown Elementary School
| The Phi Rho Chapter has started an annual service project for the children of Middletown. Phi Rho member go to the elementary school and host different "Pumpkin day activities to bring about a greater acknowledge of FBLA-PBL to elementary students and their parents. |
