In August of 2005, the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was approved. As part of this new law, Daylight Savings Time (DST) was extended by approximately four weeks and will also begin three weeks earlier. A breakdown of these changes is as follow:
Previously DST started: 1st Sunday of April (04/01/07)
Now DST will start: 2nd Sunday of March (03/11/07)
Previously DST ended: Last Sunday of October (10/28/07)
